KNOCKOUT CUP RULES

KEIGHLEY & DISTRICT DARTS & DOMINOES 

 

KNOCKOUT CUP/ PLATE RULES  

 

FOR 2024/2025 SEASON 

 

 

  1. All matches will consist of 8 games of darts and 8 games of dominoes. This will be broken down as follows: 

 

DARTS 

 

  • 3 games of singles 

  • 2 games of doubles 

  • 3 games of singles 

 

DOMINOES 

 

  • 4 games of singles 

  • 4 games of doubles 

 

In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will come into play. 

Both captains to decide and agree on the tie breaker game before the match starts (single darts or dominoes, double darts or dominoes) and write it on the back of the results card with the names of players taking part in the game. 

 

  1. Order of play will be 2 games of darts and 2 games of dominoes then stop, followed by 2 games of darts and 2 games of dominoes etc etc until all games are completed. 

However, if BOTH team captains agree at the beginning of the night then a cup fixture can be played as a normal Wednesday night fixture as long as the night flows in a fain manner for both teams. 

 

  1. Darts will start with closest to the bull for the first game and then alternate from that point on. 

 

  1. All domino games will draw out for the drop at the start of each game. 

 

  1. All cup draws will be made at the end of the monthly meetings, with the cup game being played at least two Wednesdays after the meeting to allow team delegates to inform team members of where the fixture will be. 

 

  1. The first team drawn out will have home advantage, unless two teams are drawn at the same venue, and then the first team drawn will take home advantage. 

 

  1. The WINNING TEAM MUST send a picture of the result card to the KDDL results WhatsApp group by 6pm on the Thursday following the game being played on the Wednesday. 

 

  1. All 25 teams will be entered into the qualifying round (the first team drawn out will have a BYE). Qualifying round winners will progress into the cup competition. Qualifying round losers will progress into the plate competition. 

 

  1. The final of the cup and plate competitions will be held at a neutral venue decide by the league committee.
